Bernard Fanning came in at number 1 with his debut solo album, while Ben Lee was a close second with Catch My Disease. The 1993 Hottest 100 illustrated the sense of humor of the Triple J listeners with Denis Leary’s Asshole coming in at number 1… I mean Denis Leary’s songs “Asshole” not Denis Leary’s actual Asshole. There were plenty of other alternative rockers in the mix. Included in the top 10 were Radiohead, Pearl Jam, Rage Against the Machine, Blind Melon and U2.
